DO YOU HAVE ANY CANDY THERMOMETER TIPS FOR YOUR
FLORAL,
TEA-INFUSED & HOLIDAY MARSHMALLOW MIX PRODUCTS?
Yes... Make
sure that your Candy Thermometer is in good working condition prior to using
it for
our Floral, Tea-Infused & Holiday Marshmallow Mix Products. To
test its accuracy, fill a small
saucepan with water and clip the Thermometer to the side of the pan. Make
sure the Thermome-
ter's metal tip is submerged in the Liquid, but does not touch the base
of the pan. Otherwise, the
temperature registered will be inaccurate, since the base of the saucepan
will be hotter than your
Liquid during the boiling process. Heat the water over the stove
until it reaches the boiling point,
then check your Candy Thermometer for accuracy. The water's temperature
should register 212°F.
When boiling the sugar syrup for our Marshmallow Mix Products, your Candy
Thermometer should
register 240°F, before you remove the saucepan from the stove. Again,
make sure the Thermome-
ter's metal tip remains submerged in the Liquid, but does not touch the
base of the pan, during the
boiling process.

and Filtered Water.
HOW MANY SCONES AND MARSHMALLOWS WILL YOUR PRODUCTS
YIELD?
Each Floral Scone
Mix Product yields 8 Triangular-Shaped Molded Scones using a Traditional
Scottish Scone Pan, 16 Triangular-Shaped Molded Scones using a Mini Scone
Pan, or 12 Drop
Scones.
Customers may also use Decorative Cakelet and Gem Pans, Cupcake and Muffin
Pans,
Madeleine Pans and Fluted Timbale Molds to bake our Floral Scones. Baking
time and yield
will vary depending upon the Bakeware used.
Each Floral, Tea-Infused & Holiday Marshmallow Mix Product yields
40 Marshmallows (i.e.,
"Fairy Fluffs"), when cut into 1-1/2" squares. Customers
may also use a selection of Favorite
Cookie Cutters or simple Pastry Bag with Decorating Tip to create more
imaginative Marsh-
mallows. Yield will vary depending upon the Kitchen Tools used.
WHAT IS A DROP SCONE?
We, at Woodland Fairy
Acres, define a “Drop Scone” as a baked Scone that is “formed”
by
placing a heaping spoonful of Dough onto the baking sheet.
