We
were delighted to have our Chocolate Chip Spring
Blossom Floral Scone Mix characterized as a "necessary
thing...", "...to create tasty and memorable scones".
In
Spring 2011, Woodland Fairy Acres was honored to have
been featured in the "Embellishments" editorial section of
TeaTime Magazine, one of the Country's leading publica-
tions.
Below
is a reprint of a portion of the article, "Necessary
Things: Beautiful Blossoms - Fresh Flowery Items".
TeaTime Magazine

we wish you a beautifully romantic and, hopefully, sweet-inspired
Valentine's Day...
North
Magazine
(February/March issue - 2011)
In Winter 2011, Woodland Fairy Acres was
thrilled to have its
"Lovebirds' Nests" Valentine's Day dessert featured in the
"Cuisine" section of North Magazine, one of Hamilton County's
leading publications. This holiday dessert recipe of Meringue
tartlets filled with a Strawberry Honey Wine marshmallow crème,
adorned with red roses, shimmering pink pearl dust and heart-
shaped edible glitter, was developed by Woodland Fairy Acres
specifically for North Magazine.
The article, "Piece of Cake: Appeal to
Your Sweetheart's Sweet
Tooth", featured Woodland Fairy Acres and various Northside
bakeries with their signature "Valentine Treats for Your Be-
loved". This holiday dessert article was meant to inspire a
new
tradition of romantic creativity by embracing the "true labor of
love" in surprising one's Sweetheart with a handmade treat or
specially crafted dessert.
We were absolutely thrilled when the Magazine
contacted us in
the Fall of 2010, requesting our involvement with the article.
Visions of a beautifully appointed candlelit dinner for two,
punctuated by the whisperings of sweet nothings, breathlessly
transported us to the quiet solitude and intimacy of the snow-
filled days that embrace this romantic Winter holiday.
While the Magazine requested the creation
of a "marshmallow-
based" Valentine dessert, we delighted in having free reign over
its flavor, form, color, presentation and symbolism. We envision-
ed a holiday dessert that would stir the mind, spirit and senses...
In other words, a dessert that would epitomize both beauty and
romance... And, of course, our dessert would have to embody
the various symbolic traditions of Valentine's Day.
Our imaginings took us to the beautiful billowy
white clouds
behind which Cupid lies in wait, his bow and arrow at the ready,
poised to bring two lovebirds together at a moment's notice. Our
billowy white meringue tartlets, the foundation of our dessert,
represent not only the clouds behind which our romantic Cupid
hides, but also "lovebirds' nests" into which they are shaped...
The more traditional strawberries and champagne of Valentine's
Day inspired our beautifully flavored, pink-hued strawberry honey
wine "marshmallow crème", which fills our meringue tartlets...
Pink shimmering edible pearl dust, brushed along the edges of
our meringue tartlets, signifies bubbly pink champagne and its
beautiful reflections of light... As hearts and roses abound on
Valentine's Day, our holiday dessert is finished with a sprinkling
of miniature pink heart-shaped edible glitter, with organic red
roses adorning the dessert plates...
FarmVille English Countryside™
(March 18, 2011)
In
March 2011, Woodland Fairy Acres, as Ex-
clusive Producer of Old World Floral Scones
and Floral Scone Mixes, was delighted to learn
of Zynga Inc.'s
release of the new social net-
work game "FarmVille
English Countryside".
Now, active Facebook players
from Around the
World will be able to "Craft and Sell" their
very own Floral Scones from the game's "En-
glish Crafting Pub"!
While
the color red is traditionally symbolic of Valentine's Day,
we wanted to incorporate the colors of pink and white as well.
In relation to roses, each color signifies a different expression or
stage of love... In the Victorian language of flowers, red roses
symbolize a very passionate, romantic love... Pink roses signify
a more gentle or poetic love... And, white roses symbolize inno-
cence, and a heavenly or eternal love...
The
official "Floral Scones Recipe" is 2 Bush-
els of English Bluebells, 3 Bushels of English
Roses, and 2 Bushels of English Cornflowers!
Players must first plant and harvest these En-
glish Countryside crops, before they can create
their beautifully delicious Floral Scones!
By
"Mastering the Art" of crafting and selling
their very own Floral Scones, Facebook
gamers
will also be awarded exclusive "Floral Scones
Mastery" signs!
